New Mattress!!

Rich and I bought our FIRST mattress. IT IS FABULOUS!! WE both slept so wonderful! Rich almost needs a stool to get in it is sooo high!!

New Friend

So this morning, I opened the back patio door so Shia could head out and do her business. She won't go potty unless I leave the door open, she has some seperation anxiity. Anyway, I was making breakfast for Abra and myself when I heard a purring sound. I didn't think much of it becuase it was probably Super Why, but it didn't stop. I look and there is a black cat just inside the door. It was stopped by an excited and courious Shia dog. I got it outside and shut the door and Shia was so excited to have a friend to play with. She just kept whining at the door and even brought her ball to the door to "play" with the kitty. I tried to let Shia out (to really play with the kitty and maybe scare it away) but Shia was too scared to go outside and the kitty REALLY wanted inside. Anyway, It is still sitting on our patio next to the door waiting to be let inside (I don't think so!!!)

Birthday Bike

This is my new bike that I got for my birthday!! I am SO EXCITED to ride!!

My Daddy is going to help me learn to ride my bike and care for it.

But then my bike started moving by itself and it was going too fast and I was REALLY scared and didn't want to ride NEVER, EVER again!! But Mommy and Daddy made me get back on (and Daddy pulled me!)

When we got to the park, I REFUSED to move and inch and Daddy had to go into military mode, and that got a quick response out of me!!

But, he made it better when I wouldn't stop crying! I did make it down the scary hill and hardly cried the next time we went for a bike ride!! (As long as I went SLOW)

Sale Pending!!

Look, it is ALMOST official!! So exciting for boring old me:) The house was appraised by the VA last night and we will find out about that Monday, plus the sellers are fixing the few things this weekend!! We might even get to close early so we can do some work before moving in!!!!

Zoo

I am loving the zoo membership. Something to do in the morning that is always interesting and insightful, but no hard feelings if you only spend a few hours and don't see everything, because the more you go, the better:) This is the fourth week in a row we have gone to the zoo and it was by far the most active we have seen the animals and fun because of the fabulous neighbors (and former) we went with. I hope they aren't upset that I post pictures of their kids, but it was great time!!

Our New house!!

So here are some pictures of the new house!! The inspection went well; no deal breakers, just some minor repairs that come with an older house!

This is space is to be determined how we are going to use. It is behind the garage, next to the kitchen. The former owner used it as a master bedroom. We will probably use it as family room and play room!!

Shia's Bed

Shia has misplaced ALL of her toys and we have been pre-occupied with other things to find them, so she started chewing on her bed. I decided to make her a new bed.

I used an old sheet and old pillows. She seemed very happy!

But not even 24 hours later, this is what I came home to...

My quilt

So I tried to do something a little different for this pattern that I stitched. I decided to try and make a quilt. It was an interesting experiment and I think that I did pretty well considering I still can't cut a true square! Diffently NOT perfect by any means, but fun! I think that I am going to send it to Mom to finish the quilting part and binding (My least favorite part!!)

Family Fun

We have had a BUSY weekend with Matt,Jennifer, Ethan and Andrew up for the weekend on their way to South Dakota. We went to Sauvie Island and played in the Columbia and on the beach.

We spent a day at the Oregon Zoo

And we picked delicious berries for their road trip!

A new source of communication

Wow! I never thought that I would EVER do a blog! I am excited to be able to post pictures and information about what we are doing as we approach and exciting time in our lives..BUYING OUR FIRST HOUSE!!!
